Dancing Rings (KDIs: 3, 12, 14, 39, 40)

Materials:
Any smooth large rings or small hoops that children can grip easily (Could also use a lid with the middle cut out)
2 or 3 Colors of plastic surveyors tape, crepe paper, or ribbon
Scissors
Activity:
Cut the tape or ribbons into lengths of about 12 inches, tie 5 or 6 to the ring. Children can wave them around while they dance to music.

Allow children to express that feeling on paper with crayons or marker by having them color/draw as they listen to the music you play. Play a selection of music so they can feel their mood change with the music.

Visual barrier of some sort (Flannel board, or Large box)
Activity:
Show the children the objects and demonstrate the sound that each of them makes. Then put them all behind the screen. Make one of the objects make its noise. Then remove the screen. Have a child guess which object makes the sound by pointing to the objects. Then let the child make the sound with the object to see if it is the same.
